So in the case of India the difference between "population" and "total population" is appr. 50 million people.
It seems quite an interesting site however (just discovered it).
Edit: it is probably due to different sources: the "population" seems based on the CIA factbook as shown here.

In this case the difference is because of niggers and south americans immigrants since 1997, which are in a grey line between citizens and non citizens (goverment and business motherfuckers wanted the massive immigration but they didn't almost changed any real law, so they needed to make the whole thing "de facto").

I like such statistics BTW (for those who had not yet noticed), e.g. I would not have thought that Australia and Sri Lanka have the same number of inhabitants (give or take a few thousand).
