Having been finally released after an overly mulletish wait, I've been playing NG2 in the place of the standard regiment of NGB playing. Evidently the game isn't quite as good as NG:Black, but it's still a far butter game than any of the other shitty disasters released since NGB have been - Making the way that it seems to be getting worse reviews than the dumb-as-bricks DMC4 seem as retarded as bono.

However, the nubbish backlash to the release of the game seems to be even stronger than with the original ninja gaiden (of which there was a huge amount of - despite the way the normal difficulty game is pretty easy if you just pay fucking attention) - of course, commercial game reviewers can't admit that they're just plain shitty at the game so will claim the game is full of 'cheapness' or has a bad camera.

Having played the game for a few hours, I've actually yet to find where exactly this bad camera is, but I assume it lies in the world of fuckheads who don't know that you can recenter and rotate the camera freely mario64-style if you just fucking use the right thumbstick and/or right trigger, and that if you've got the game tutorial enabled that you're taught this a few minutes into the gameplay. fail.

Likewise, the 'cheapness' of the game stems mostly from projectile attacks (typically either blockable, flying swallowable or dodgeable), or being swarmed (this isn't cheap either - knowing how to single out and seperate enemies from the rest of the crowd is something you needed to master to beat ninja master and the 'swarm' missions in NGB anyway).

Overall I have to say that NG2 is definately a gamer's game - unless you're an actual gamer (in the traditional, non-faggoty sense) you're not going to get the purposefully cliched (to the point of self-mocking) storyline, deeper parts of the gameplay mechanics and so on.

TL;DR: ITT everything you've ever known was true about commercial reviewers confirmed again
