I can understand that, but I wonder what the basis for the dislike is?....it might just be that some people want something else from gaming no matter how good a racing game is, but it could also be a reluctance to buy a wheel, and the doubt about it's value.
There's also probably the erroneous assumption that racing sims{which work best with wheels} are too hard to drive, but the truth is, if you know "how" to drive a racecar{a teachable skill} then it's easier than some of the arcade crap I've played with a Keyboard.

There is no 'reason' for the dislike, just a dislike, it's a matter of taste. I just do not like sports games, strategy games, fighting games and racing games, these just do not appeal to me. I do like RPGs (not the hack & slash type though), adventures and FPSs.
