btw HL2 had same kinda dumb scripted "AI"

dont know about HL1 cause I didnt play it yet (waiting for the complete black mesa mod. HL2 has old enough graphics but its still bearable. original HL1 graphics are way to old to enjoy)

HL1 is suppose to be true AI but I only belive it when I see it. if its true then it means the guys who programed HL1 got replaced by some newbie simpleton dumbfucks who ruined AI in the sequel

of course dynamic AI aint enough to make it smart - but its the 1st & most important criteria. its so fucking obvious I shoudnt even have to say it :/

sorry to say, but even modern day FPS games are taken place in close one way corridors. Doesn't matter if it LOOKS like a jungle if you cannot get off the path. At least FEAR took more effort and made it look clever, but most games are just walking towards the direction where the other people shoot from and that's it. Or worse: they have a fucking ARROW floating in mid air to show you where you should go (not that the game let's you wander) and how far is it just to make the game retardproof. Next time there will be autoaim or some shit
