The executives who make the decisions in the gaming world probably don't even play videogames. That's what is so terrible. They are just good at being public relations monkeys and spewing B.S. out of their mouths that sounds good enough to sell whatever crap they want to sell.

The monopolization of the game industry is similar to what happened with TV, music and movies; mass-advertisement and brainwashing, and quantity over quality with profits usually focused on the first few weeks before everyone realizes it's shit. Nobody does it simply for the love of fun any more.
