Since this forum is about as active as Lenin's embalmed corpse, I thought I'd degenerate from the usual topics of "certain forum members suck," "this website blows" and "your mom is a whore," and get something fairly mainstream (at least for the Internet in general) going.
Which animes do you think are good, and which ones suck horsecock?
I'm not all too familiar with the genre as a whole, but I know the stuff featured on Adult Swim, and a few others. I'd say Ghost in the Shell and Samurai Champloo are the two best ones I've seen thus far. DBZ is clearly the worst of mainstream Anime, with that fuckin' retarded Trigun or however you spell it coming in a close second. I'm sure there's much worse crap out there, but it probably doesn't air on TV, making it effectively irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. I'm apparently not "Otaku" enough to appreciate the artistic significance of some halfass dub job done on an already hideous animated shrine to jailbait police girls who dress like every day is Halloween.
On an unrelated note, the combined radiation from "Little Boy" and "Fat Man" must've severely fucked up some braincells over there, judging by most of their Hentai. What typical Americans refer to as "Hardcore Porn" is freakin' worksafe compared to the sexual brutality that some Japanese animators are capable of producing.

Lady death was a massive piece of shit. Adult swim can show some crappy anime but they do show occasional good ones. They will never show berserk though probably due to content issues. You can buy the whole series for 35 dollars and i suggest you do

Heh i'm new to anime, so I only have the the platinum collection dvd's of Neon Genesis Evangelion and the Gunslinger Girl dvd's. I also have all of their current mangas. I also kinda plan on getting the Cowboy Bebop and maybe Full Metal Alchemist mangas + dvds.
