(also...2xAA? no way - with 2xAA u can still notice the edges & we're supposed to be in 2005. Played plenty of recent games @ 4xAA & i'm used to it so 4 me it's 4xAA or nothin :D)
with 9800pro i had 2 run D3 on 800x600 & deactivate AA (jagged edges, yay!). Them "developpers" who made this game coulda at least optimized it a little. Plenty of other games out there with equal graphics where 9800pro cuts it just right (with 1024x728 & max details & 4xAA).
And what could demons do instead of spawn? well how about PATROLING the map, u know, jus' hunting like most of them do in painkiller 4 example? They patrol the map & are aware of your presence & they try 2 find & hunt u down - much more fun & combat-reallistic cos' it allows for some fckn STRATEGY: u can make out where they are, sneak up on them or ambush them & stuff - so u get the impression you're fighting some REAL enemies with some REAL AI...
instead they jus' stupidly appear outa thin air so it's just walk -> monsters spawn -> shoot em down -> walk -> monsters spawn -> shoot 'em down etc...
And cos' they spawn there's no way of predicting any enemy behavior - that's OK for arcade games but D3 aint supposed to be arcade is it?
Spawning stuff is ok for starters but it can gets repetitive dont u think? |
