Back then, we had more types of adventure games than types of games nowdays in general. There were RTS-es, point & click adventure games, TBS-es, platform games and like a million other games. Now it's either FPS or TPS and NOTHING ELSE. Just look at the reviewed games on this site (excluding a few indie games). They are all from this two genre. And they suck.
