Amalur has all the makings of a good game but no understanding of pacing. The combat system and skill system is actually good, it's too bad the team had no level design skills to save their lives.
The world is vastly underpopulated and lacking in enemies and action for a game that has realtime combat. The skeleton of a good game is here but there's no meat on it.
