That's true, this gameplay (and graphics btw) sucks fucking hard, the point is it didn't in previous Command & Conquer but the opposite.
C&C 1 was a so fucking huge leap in mankind that leaves the conquer of Moon like cleaning the floor and Red Alert 1 was like that second jerk you do in a frenzy just next to the first.
It's EA's fault (never forget EA is the fifth Rider of Apocalyse), not previous C&C gameplay/theme one.
