saw it yest on apple tv.....and i couldn't help noticing the similarities of the space station will mass effect, felt like they where inspired by the design of Presidium from the ME Citadel....any1 else notice that? the movie failed to impress me however.

Watched it, decent action movie, nothing more. I watched Smaug yesterday, was also disappointed. I think I'm giving up on movies, honestly. I haven't watched a truly amazing movie in....I don't even know. I liked the scene in Elysium where the guy got his face blown off by the grenade, that was cool.

I'm buying some of the old classics on Bluray, for example, GodFather2, Goodfellas, Black Rain, Casino etc......these are real movies with real people, not CGI FUCKEN.

I also saw Smaug and was disappointed too. The first Hobbit movie was kinda okay, but this... some action scenes seemed almost cartoonish as the elves unnecesarily acrobatic fighting, it was a joke. And WTF with a girl throwing a fucking TOOTHPICK at a huge-ass spider and it kills it instantly, that's not even harms it's skin for fuck's sake.
Or when they finally get to the enterance to the mountain and the MOMENT the sun faded, all the dwarfs gave up INSTANTLY like "Alright folks, I don't see any keyhole, let's go home..." That easy, like after seconds really. WTF?
But When Gandalf meets with Galadriel and she gives a PERFECT smile, that was nice. Or when he meets Sauron the first time and the scene went into this hypnotic loop, that was quite finely done.
Although that's about it, the movie was like if it was made by disney, I'm not joking. It was a 90's disney cartoon with real actors, it even had singing parts.

Yeah honestly I have the exact same complaints. It just got extremely boring because you knew everytime someone was in trouble some arrow would come out of nowhere and save them. It's been a while since I read the book but I don't remember the Elves being jedis who could double backflip 360 quickscopes every 5 seconds. They got saved by the elves in battle like 100+ times. "Oh shit, an orc is coming up behind him!" "Nevermind, he got killed by one arrow in the leg". That Kili storyline wasn't done very well either. I guarantee you they're going to kiss in the 3rd movie.

i guess the above two posters seem a bit ignorant about VGS rules(one of them didnt grow up!).......if some leach can spider around theses forums one can find golden rules of posting, which is: any topic which is related to gaming a can be posted in this section
as my question was related to Mass effect game, it is a perfectly valid posting according to the rules of VGS.......and that is the real answer

Hm, we have one poster on the forum claiming to tell the real truth and now one who claims to give the real answers. Would the one be clone of the other maybe? Master is not a captn clone but a pigmy clone after all?
Anyway, I'm going to eat (vegetarian of course) a bit now, and then play some Splinter Cell, after that some soccer, so I'm outa here now.
