just played rage and wow holy shit....the gfx are top notch!!! just played for 15mins and i have decided its time for me to get a new gfx card.....the gtx285 is not the card to play this game.....again the gfx are awesome....this is how deus ex hr should have been....tech 5 blows the shit out of unreal engine

sorry your wrong, rumours. the game is quality...its been a long time for me to look at a game's gfx and be impressed. the textures are super rich and detailed and the engine rendering is beautiful, the combat is great.....i will play this game and not be biased on reviews...heard it was buggy and was crashing...but they now fixed it........however you do need to have a beefy gfx card to run it with lots of texture memory....i already ordered my new card because of rage...tomorrow the 680 gtx will arrive! the card is outof stock so i ordered it from amazon for $520 early mor 2am with nxt day shipping(+$20)...and since the latest gtx 680 is out of stock price soared to $600+ in the evening today...getting really impatient and distracted at work....wooooo

Well drop some 1080p screenshots and I'll take a look....that said, for me, for combat to be good, it has to be both smooth and difficult...

Mofo 22 odd gig.....anyway, looks good overall, but does have some texture pop, and uses a mix of low and hi res assets, either way, a good looking game.
I think Far Cry3 will be more fun, but it's early days.
Btw, I'm running it maxed on my AMD 7950, I suspect 7850/70 would also do well.
