I just picked up GRAW1........it''s okay, would have been more of a thrill back when, but it seems to be reasonably polished....so my question is.....is GRAW2 bigger, badder and better?

It's a tom clancy game... the likelihood of it being better than the sequel, is on par with the likelihood of a Ubisoft sequel being bigger, badder and better

I played both , I didn't like either of them, but if you liked the first you'll like the second cause they seemed very similar to me.

uh huh, but do you think GRAW2 is a technical advancement over GRAW1?
Guru3D claims it's pretty good game etc.

Techincal advancement? If you mean graphics, they're the same for both games, or at least I remember so.
This game got good scores of course, but many games are getting good scores... I liked Ghost Recon 1 way better than these games, but if GRAW is OK with you then you'll like GRAW 2, because from what I remember GRAW 2 is virtually the same as the first. I say that I "remember" because I didn't even play these games too much, I found them boring and quitted.

I don't think the first game is that bad....it's not even really my cup of tea, but it was at bargin bin prices so i bought it.
When I dled the demo years ago, I had to run it at 1024x768.....now I'm maxing it at 1920x1200 on my 4850 1 gig.
My problem with this game will most likely be the same as most others, and that's whether it can hold my attention.

Well I'm playing and enjoying GRAW1......I like the sniper rifles and as I said the game is quite polished, ie, no bugs and it also has a reasonable sense of scale.
I would love this game to have Bioshocks graphics or better though.
I prefer this to Far Cry2 for example.

I'm now dling the GRAW2 demo.....it's 1.8gig, so hopfully it doesn't bomb, cause Gaymspot no longer seem to have a dl manager
The reviews say GRAW2 is very difficult, but I wonder if these people have played Stalker SOC......cause once you get past that, there's no such thing as a difficult FPSer.

Okay you dopey mofo's....GRAW2 does have better graphics and a better tactical map etc.
It's no more difficult than GRAW, but your health doesn't regenerate, so you've got one health bar per mission, but the save points are quite frequent.
I wonder if you guys have played either of these games maxed on a large LCD....cause when I played the GRAW demo back in 2006 on my 19in CRT, it was very difficult to see the enemies, and being a long range type of shooter, that's not cool.

Damn....I don't have the patience for these tactical shooters, especially as they have limited save points....I hate it when they make games artificially difficult as a substitute for gameplay.
I keep wasting 12-15 mins and then getting killed.
I think I'll still get GRAW2 as the save point system seems much better, but I might have to give GRAW the ass.
Note to stoopid developers....I don't want to play any game for 300hrs.....I would've finished the fucking thing by now if it had a typical save system.
