Well, the use of physics in the game was nice, that's what made some puzzles interesting, but the controls were just a pain. Did you play this game at all or are you just discussing this generally? I'm talking about this game only, maybe Amnesia learned from that and did a better job (never played that game).

Generally I don't see how clicking, holding and draggng the mouse to open a drawer adds immersion as compared to simply clicking it. It seems like clicking and holding and dragging the mouse in order to pull the trigger to fire a gun, it doesn't add immersion but merely increases the likelihood that you make an error / the game doesn't interpret your actions the way you meant them. And the latter happened a lot to me, I clicked and held and dragged but nothing happened, this would normally not be particularly annoying (just try again) but it was really frustrating when this happened timed sequences (i.e. when it resulted in instant death).

This was normally not a problem with drawers (no problem there) but mainly with smashing objects with the pickaxe and turning valves (again, exactly the type of things you needed to do in timed sequences). Also I always struggled with actions like picking up an object and rotating it, thankfully this wasn't necessary in timed sequences though.
