It was, but not for every class, for example having good gear was a must on Barbarian, but on Sorc you didn't had to equip best possible gear to win in Hell.

Loot diversity / affixes was HUGE in D2:LoD. In D3? Vitality + Main (and only usefull stat) + resists. Thats it. Weapon? DPS! It's worth mentioning that in D3 it's harder to find good useful gear by yourself, so you're forced to use AH. In Inferno ofc - normal/nightmare/hell are easy as fuck in this game.

Inferno is "hard" only because Blizzard testers played this difficulty and when they said: "ok, it's enough", some moron decided to simply double (or tripple, can't remember now) mob stats. Just like that, no additional affixes, skills or sth like that. Just simple mathematics. ANYONE CAN DO THAT. ANYONE... CAN... MAKE... DIFFICULTY... LIKE... THAT!

Sequels should be better, more complex and refined than previous one. In Diablo 3, that's not the case. In my opinion it's just flashy, simple game with retarded and broken last difficulty level. With lags in single player.

Game can be better when Blizzard will patch it and relase Expansion, but considering HOW FUCKING LONG they were making it, it's just just outrageous.
