(User Info | Send a Message) | It's very easy to get through the Fallout 1 main quest very quickly if you simply pursue it rather than doing the sidequests along the way, which is pretty much the same thing you're saying about Fallout 3.
If anything it takes even less time due to the way that there are less 'legs' to the quest and no requirements for combat skills, which means the correct character build can finish the game almost without any levelling whatsoever.
This has actually been considered a central part of the roleplaying experience to Fallout 1.
Also, you may of noticed that I didn't actually say anything I did say was an excuse for the various features of Fallout 3. That's because it isn't.
Then again I don't know why the shit I'm bothering since evidently a game series with fans like you in it isn't worth talking about. |
